"Those Santorini Nights"

Santorini is the world-famous volcanic island located in the Aegean Sea, in Greece. Santorini’s five villages sit atop the caldera and offer spectacular views of the crater created in the 16thcentury volcanic eruption. Santorini is the epitome of Greece – white houses and blue rooftops. Why are the roofs painted blue in Greece? A military government established power in Greece between 1967-1974. They set a political agenda of displaying uniformity across the landscapes by painting all houses blue and white, reflecting the colors of their flag.

Thus, “Those Nights in Santorini” reflects the Grecians love for blue.
